Green Summit Animal Clinic Services

Immunization and Wellness Care

Your pet’s health is very important to us. Finding conditions before they become serious is the basis behind annual exams and vaccinations. They give an individual record of your pets health standard which will allow the doctors and their clients to set appropriate protocols. We have all the necessary vaccinations your canine or feline will require during their lifetime.

Spaying and Neutering

Spaying/Neutering your pet prevents unwanted pregnancies, breast cancer (most effective if done prior to the first heat cycle), uterine infections, ovarian cancer, testicular cancer and removes the “drive” for your pet to wonder for mating purposes. Our surgical packages include: Pre-anesthetic exam, preoperative blood work, intravenous fluids, endotracheal intubation with gas anesthesia, cardiac and respiratory monitoring, recovery room, postoperative pain medication and pain medication to go home with your pet.

If you feel declawing your cat is the best option for your family, we use electric cautery for this surgery. Electric cautery minimizes bleeding and pain by cauterizing blood vessels and nerves. To minimize discomfort cats and kittens are given injectable pain medication as well as a local pain block. Your cat will stay 2 nights after this procedure for close monitoring.

Growth Removal

Skin tags, cysts, fatty tumors and any number of external growths on your pet can be removed with surgical procedures. Not all growths need to be removed, so consult your doctor for any advice or concern you have with your pet.

Bladder Stone Removal

These types of surgeries are not uncommon procedures in veterinary medicine. Canine and Felines suffer from stones and can be removed surgically by our doctors.

*Intestinal foreign body removals

*Limited orthopedic surgeries

Dental Care

animal dental careHealthy teeth play a major role in the health and well being of your pet. Bad breath is often a sign of dental disease. Gingivitis, tarter, and periodontal disease can release bacteria into the bloodstream putting stress on internal organs that may lead to disease. Studies have shown that 50% of pets over 1-½ years old are in need of some kind of dental work. It is the most frequently diagnosed health problem in pets. Our doctors and technicians are skilled in cleaning, extracting, polishing and repairing your pet’s teeth. Brushing your pet’s teeth frequently is the best preventative for tooth and gum disease.

ResQ microchip is a pet identification and retrieval system. A microchip with it’s own ID Number is injected between the shoulder blades of your pet. Once your pet is chipped we register your information with a national database and your lost pet can then be scanned at any participating veterinary clinic or animal shelter. All the relevant information will then be available for the return of your pet.
